My tutorials serve to help you further your understanding of artistic concepts. Anatomy tutorials are drawn in my style and the models used are my personal preferences.

My pose practices serve to help me study human motion, perspective, and anatomy in a more hands-on fashion. They are sketches, and most of them come from photo references. You may use them in any way you like.

After a long period of inactivity, I decided to change my username into something more marketable and unique. After long consideration, I've chosen the name aupin. It's not special and it doesn't mean anything, I just like the au- prefix. Pins are pretty cool. Goldpin? Maybe? Like a needle.

Anyways, I regret that I will still remain inactive for the foreseeable future. I'm currently in the middle of taking my CPA exam, which will take me quite a bit of time. Once I'm done, my obligations after work will cease so I will have much more time to draw.

I've decided, after a long period of inactivity, that my purpose will be creating art coupled with tutorials and process explanations. I taught myself art many years ago, and over a three year stretch I've gone from drawing inexplicable anime figures to something that, in my opinion, is much better. I've gotten the chance to create tutorials for the public to use, and people have given me amazing feedback for these tutorials. You have all inspired me to create process videos and even more tutorials, and that will be my primary focus. For every non-commission drawing that I complete, I will create a process video along with it, as well as a very detailed explanation. I'm sure many of you know how detailed they can get, so hopefully it will be much more helpful!

Although I've been a deviant for 7 years (that long already?), I've only been active for maybe 3. It's regretful, but since art isn't my profession, it's difficult finding the time to draw. However, I also realized that school is the primary thing that has been keeping me from drawing. The whole studying after classes, preparing for exams, looking for internships and jobs, makes it difficult to really sit down and draw for a couple of hours. Now that I've graduated, I find work to be a lot more relaxing. As an external auditor, my job can definitely be stressful at times, but when I go home I am able to focus on myself, and nothing more. At the moment, I am studying for the CPA exam, which is a massive beast in itself, so I will not have time to draw or create tutorials. But once that's done and over, I'll be able to do what I really want to do.

Stay tuned! I may throw something out every now and then.

I really appreciate the tutorials. Love your art gallery.
I started drawing last year. I'm 40.
I wasn't as fortunate to have any drawing lessons. I really appreciate it. I'm also coloring some in Gimp.
